Finance Office

The Finance Office works year-round to maintain the fiscal integrity of the County's financial records.  This includes monthly financial reports and entering daily activity, adjustments and budget transfers as well as interfacing with payroll and cash receipts. The Finance Office oversees all aspects of accounts payable, billing, collections, centralized accounting, internal and external audits and maintains financial and fixed asset inventory records for all County departments.  Payroll is processed and administered by the Human Resources Department

Accounts Payable processes all of Barnwell County's payments to County Vendors including but not limited to: 

  • utility bills
  • telephone bills
  • memberships
  • employee reimbursements
  • attorneys fees

Annual Audit :  The Finance Office serves as the County's liaison during the performance of our annual audit. This includes information gathering, preparing worksheets and schedules, and year-end journal entries. Information regarding the County's Annual Audit can be found here

Annual Budget : The Finance Office assists the County Administrator in creating and maintaining the Annual Operating and Capital Budget. For information about the County's Annual Budget, click here.
